Some puppies are playful, others are shy, and then there’s those that just can’t help but to get into trouble. Christina Nielson got her adorable ball of trouble this past July and soon found out the trouble a puppy can cause.
Nielson wanted a new puppy, and after finding one in Wisconsin, contacted the owner who agreed to meet her family half way so that they could pick the pup up. When she got to the truck and looked into the bed she saw two golden retriever puppies walking around. She spent a little bit of time playing with each one and finally made the tough choice.
They took the pup home and named him Cato, after the guy from the Hunger Games, but his personality is more like another famous movie dog.
“He is exactly like Marley from the movie Marley and Me,” Nielson said.
For example, Cato has tried escaping out the windows while on car rides. He has eaten the family’s fake trees that were placed around the house and he digs holes in the lawn.
“It was a shock the first time I saw what he did,” she said, “because I didn’t know a puppy could do that much damage.”
She tried to let him sleep in her room, but he ripped up her pillow and chewed on her clothes and her feet while she tried to sleep.
“After ripping up my pillow and chewing on my clothes and me, I kicked him out and now he just stays in the kitchen,” she said.
It isn’t all bad times with Cato though. He is full of energy and always wants to play with everyone. She likes to hang out with the pup and takes pictures of him whenever she finds him in a cute situation.
“He is adorable when he tans with me,” said Nielson.
Nielson’s pup is two months old now and she definitely knows what type of personality he has. Now the only thing is to love him for it.
“I love my dog even though he’s so much trouble.”
