Netflix Binge

Television Obsessions

More stories from Jon Berkness

We all have those shows that we start to watch because we find them interesting, but this isn’t about casually watching a show or two a day. Binge-watching is on the other end of the spectrum. Binge-watching borders on obsession.
My experiences with binge-watching have led to countless hours of sitting in front of my tv, eating food and staying up to ungodly late hours. Personally I have binge-watched: The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, and Parks and Recreation.
Crier staff admitted to obsessing over these titles:    The Office, The Walking Dead, Trailer Park Boys, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, The Bachelor, Fullmetal Alchemist, Family Guy, and Sons of Anarchy.
Being sick has become a vacation of sorts, thanks to streaming websites such as Netflix, Hulu, and Primewire. Days off used to be for catching up on a good book, hanging out with friends, or doing something productive.
Now it seems that my days consist of closing the blinds, grabbing my favorite foods, and curling up in bed while becoming emotionally attached to fictional characters and their plights.
