Everyone’s a critic, the old saying goes – but there are a few students at SFHS who take that to a whole new level.

Junior Lexi Johnson and Senior Dillon Nagel have been writing reviews for broadway touring productions for a few seasons.

They are part of a program offered through Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Spotlight Education program called Critical Review program.

“A writing program, Critical Review  enhances critical thinking and creative response skills. Students receive press kits for each show, and attend workshops led by experts in the field on topics ranging from lighting design to choreography,” states the Trust’s website.

Students are accepted through an application process, and these students were accepted into the program through hundreds of applications.

Joining Lexi and Dillon this year will be Junior Natalie Netteberg.

”This program is free of cost to participants thanks to the generous underwriting of Fred and Ann Moore,” states the website.

Their reviews will be posted on this website throughout the year.
