As school starts up, students should know about resources for anyone who may need a little extra help. Kodys Closet, what is it you may ask? That’s a question many have wondered including ourselves.

“Kodys Closet was actually started by a mom of a student, not at our school but a different school, and her son passed away.” said Robinson

In an attempt to remember Kody, his mom started these hygiene closets inside of schools. Due to the fact that she  always couponed and had hygiene supplies readily available in her home.

“I think its important that we have Kodys Closet at Saint Francis High School so, our students have access to different items that they may need.” said Abraham

Backpacks, clothing, toiletries, food, winter items, cleaning products and much more, is available for students who may be in need.

You may be wondering how would a student get access to this, Dawn Abraham has an awnser on that.

“They would come to the counseling office they can meet with either myself (Dawn Abraham) or Mrs. Moss at the front desk and let us know if they need something. Or they can also meet with their counselor and they will bring them down there.”

Saint Francis High School is able to provide these resources from doing food drives, donations and other school events.
