Speech season helps participants grow

The Saint Francis speech team is about halfway through the season and they have finals coming up the end of this March and sections in April.

Speech Coach Madonna Arnold is excited about the learning she sees happening on the team.

“Oh my gosh it is going so good,” she said. “The learning process is happening, we have our people that are making finals; we have our people that are learning there.”

Arnold is pleased to see her team looking at their critiques and adjusting their performances based on what the judges say.

“They are getting better every single time,” said  Arnold  “We have a really fun tournament coming up this weekend that is going to be this improv duo.”

Speech Captain Ella Guse says the season has been going well and she has enjoyed watching the team grow.

“We had finalists almost every single tournament which is pretty impressive,” said Guse.

Milo Thul has been working on his season, after finishing the One Act Season.

“Its been going consistently well,” said Thul. “I’m very happy with my final year of speech right now, I’ve been making it to honor final rounds and final rounds and it’s just been a lot of fun. I feel good about the meets upcoming!”
