Q: How did it start?
A: Steve Fetzik – “It started as Aloha Friday. Prior to me, a retired teacher Randy Keillor, who was a debate coach and language arts instructor, would always wear a Hawaiian shirt on Fridays. So when he retired I decided to keep up the tradition. Almost every Friday I would wear a Hawaiian shirt just to honor him and to keep the tradition alive.
Q: Who is the founder of Hawaiian shirt Wednesday?
A:Keegan Sonnenfeld – “I believe that Conan Sandberg and Zach Feges are co-founders of Hawaiian Wednesday.”
Q:How long have you guys participated in this event?
A: Sonnenfeld – “I personally have been participating since the second week of my freshman year.”
Donavan Miles – “I couldn’t say exact date, but probably around 2 years.”
Q: How long have you known about this event?
A: Sonnenfeld – “Probably about the second week of my freshman year.”
Miles – “Two years.”
Q: When can people participate in this activity?
A: Sonnenfeld – “Every Wednesday, every week.”
